today i went to work at my 9-5 construction office job and then i went to see "Sinners" for the second time. it is probably one of my new favorite movies & i will never stop raving about it. baz luhrmann could never.
my girlfriend got let go from her job a few days early (she had already put in her two weeks notice), and she is starting at my office on monday. i am excited for this but also very nervous about the prospect of us working at the same place and spending even more time together than we already do. the hr lady at my work is very concerned about that aspect of my girlfriend's employment there and i think i am letting it get to my head. oh well, i think everything will turn out alright.
i have been playing "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" on my PS5. i am about 8 or so hours in, i just met esquie for context. i have already had a major character death from the end of act 1 spoiled for me, but i am trying not to let that ruin the game for me. this sort of thing has happened to me with a lot of media (the infamous xenoblade 1 smash ultimate spirit spoiler comes to mind, iykyk) and i have learned that one reveal or twist does not make the entire experience, so in these situations i try to just continue without worrying too much about the spoiler. this particular game is also nice and short, which helps me because i do not have to play another 80 hours with a spoiler looming over my head (this happened to me with metaphor: refantazio and unfortunately made me drop that game - idk why my brain works like this, i was loving it up until that point!!!!!!!!!!). i am trying to finish expedition 33 before the end of May so that i can make a nice dedicated blog post reviewing it.
i definitely got into some vent-adjacent territory with this blog post, i will probably end up archiving it in the future as i move away from sharing those sorts of details on the internet. i want this blog to be about my interests and less so my personal life. i specifically want this blog to be an excuse for me to actually finish more video games so that i can come on here and write some reviews!!!!!! stay tuned
